Treeview's digital twin for Microsoft and Teyma wins two Telly Awards

The 47th Annual Telly Awards gave Treeview two Silver awards for a mixed reality digital twin of a green hydrogen project in Uruguay, built with Microsoft and Teyma.

Treeview won two Silver awards at the 47th Annual Telly Awards for Mixed Reality Digital Twin Data Visualization, a project built with Microsoft and Teyma. The wins came in Craft: Use of AR and Craft: Digital Environments, both in the Immersive, Interactive and Mixed Reality group.

The Telly Awards received nearly 14,000 entries from 55 countries in the 2026 season, the most in their history, reviewed by more than 250 judges. Winners were announced on May 19, 2026.

The project

The digital twin models a multi-billion-dollar green hydrogen project in Uruguay. It combines an interactive 3D model of the site's energy production with AI predictive models of its future output, and runs on HoloLens 2, mobile and the web.

The site development team faced a communication problem. During the feasibility phase, it had to explain complex technical data to investors, government officials and landowners, each with different questions and different levels of technical background.

The mixed reality digital twin turned that data into a shared, visual group experience. Teyma deploys it for feasibility work and fundraising.

Montevideo debut

The project was first shown in June 2024 at the first anniversary of Microsoft's AI Co-Innovation Lab in Montevideo. Uruguay's Vice President, the ministers of Industry and Foreign Affairs and Microsoft's leadership attended.

The winning entry credits Horacio Torrendell, Treeview's founder and CEO; Luis Gallo, CEO of Teyma; and Elianne Elbaum, director of Microsoft's AI Co-Innovation Lab.

Why digital twins

A digital twin is a live virtual copy of a physical asset, site or system. Adding AI predictions lets teams see how the site will behave, and immersive visualization lets them walk through it together.

“Digital twins are one of the fastest-growing verticals we are seeing in enterprise, and industry adoption is just getting started,” said Torrendell. “We are excited to be exploring the edge of what is possible with immersive data visualization and AI predictive models.”
